Anything happening?

Taking a week to visit the folks en route to deploying back to the desert.  The S4R is there in my pops garage so I'll have wheels other than the rental car.

If any of you So Cal folks see a Black S4R with Nebraska plates running around from the 3rd through the 8th give a wave.

Heres a couple pics of the bike when I dropped it off in Cali.  theres a small box of random bits that have accumulated for install but it'll look mostly the same.

Anyone know of a place to get a set of clip-ons (ie in stock I'll want them on the 4th or 5th)

55,
Please state where in O.C. you will be based, okay?
Have you mapped out a few rides for yourself or....?
Are you bringing the proper gear with you?  Let us know.

Cheers,

BD

I'll be in Anaheim Hills

I left a spare lid and gloves with the bike at my folks.  I have a set of Dianese leathers I'm binging with me but the zipper on my jacket of my Dianese set to hold the uppers and lowers together just broke a tooth and I can't get it fixed in time Undecided So it'll be jacket, helmet and Gloves and  I'll be hitting up Cycle gear/swing by the D-store or somewhere for a set of Boots ( I need another set anyway and they cost a bundle here in Japan) and riding jeans to get me by for the week.

I haven't mapped anything out looking for a day trip or two.  Maybe a Pines to Palms ride or something....Theres always the stds Mulholland / Trabuco / Up the mountain to Running Springs but I'm gonna be taking it slow  Cry since I've been over here in Japan for a year it'll take a day or three to get back used to riding on the right side of the road Wink Probably a ride or two with dad too he's finally got 2 years of riding under his belt Even if it is on honda-davidson!

Gonna make time to shoot some skeet on the 8th with the old man waytogo and a few Mom cooked meals thrown in there, but if theres any evening get togethers I'll be there they will rack out way before I do.

not sure, best bet is to call.  I have a feeling it'll be "until everything runs out."  but i'm not basing that on anything.

Do you happen to have a website or phone number for the D-store? I'm having trouble finding information on them.

i found this on the dainese store locator

ORANGE COUNTY D-STORE (USA)
The Store is located in Costa Mesa (California), at 1645 Superior Avenue; for any information please contact the D-Store Orange County at 949-650-2300.

The manager is Kim, very nice, tell her I said 'hi.'  But all the guys that work there are very cool and very helpful.  And they have a monster in the store now so you can test out gear while sitting on a bike.

Bought a set of axial race boots for $279 Grin

They have a few boots on sale some mishmosh boots with limited sizes are really well discounted, and they had a pretty full selection of the axial race (last years model) in black, blk/white blk/white/red and the valentino replicas were on sale too just over 300 for the valentinos if I remember.  A few jackets( didn't spend too much time looking at the jackets so I can't comment on which models sorry) and some gloves and nick nack bits and pieces were on sale too.  Essentially it looked like everything that is being replaced with a new model 08 is on sale.

As usual from my previous experience with the CM store they were great guys with low pressure sales and helpful answers.

Reminds me of exactly why I hate Bert's: they're total vultures. I'm going to try and drop by the D-store today after work. Hopefully they'll still be open. I'm looking forward to meeting some GOOD salespeople, not those annoying vultures that they have at Bert's.
