Okay, that's not really all.  Here you go:

Breakfast Downtown:
The Bijou Cafe 132 SW 3rd Ave.
Byways Cafe 1212 NW Glisan st.

Just Coffee:
Stumptown 128 sw 3rd (yup, just down from the Bijou) Head in here and grab a latte, pick up a Willamette Week and Mercury, local papers with events listing and stuff

Doughnuts (or Donut's)
Voodoo Donut 22 sw 3rd

Lunch Downtown:
Head up to the park blocks or down toward waterfront if it's nice, can't go wrong with the food carts!  Alder and 8th is the Nexus.

Entertainment
OMSI is cool sometimes, but we like movies and beer, so we go here:
Mission Theater and Pub 1624 NW Glisan

Or live music:
Dantes 1 SW 3rd ave.
Berbati's Pan 231 sw Ankeny
The Roseland Theater 8 NW 6th Ave

Drinking:
Shanghai Tunnel 211 SW Ankeny (head Downstairs) Hipster type club with pool table and decent food, but definatley dive-y
Actually, just go to barfly.com and you can search for any kind of joint you want!

Have fun!

Been to Bijou and Stumptown since they're right across from the hotel.  Walked past Voodoo a couple times, but doughnuts aren't my thing.

We're planning on walking a big loop around town tomorrow to see what else is out there.

Nice.

What do you mean "doughnuts aren't my thing"?  How is that statement even possible?

Yeah, I know. Right now we're at Elephant Deli for happy hour and the drinks are epic.

Laura wasn't working and Lauren had no idea who you are.  Smiley

We ended up hitting a number of places in downtown and the surrounding area.  Our hotel, Embassy Suites downtown, wasn't in the best area and our initial impression wasn't very favorable.  Things improved substantially after we ventured farther.  People were generally friendly and most food was good.  (Morningstar Cafe has the third best breakfast burrito I've had.)

Thanks again for the info about what to see and do.
