The Power Races worked great until the 2nd lap of the last session at Barber yesterday... then whaddya know? I lost the front on turn 12 (on the gas)... Shit!!

Sliding behind your bike at 95mph while still watching the tach is an interesting experience though.

bollocks and buggery!! bang head

How many times have we told you to ditch the Michelins?  They just don't warn you.  If you want tires that let you know what's happening, get with the Dunnies and call it a day!  Tongue

If you want tires that move around like crazy, get Pirellis and pay contingency 9 months after the fact, get Pirellis.

The saga continues, they want to total my 848 because the rearset mounting tabs are bent on one side, no welding allowed. can you believe this sh!t?

Brand new parts needed for repair; Tach/display, right side rear set, master brake cylinder, fairing stay

Things that can be fixed for cheap; tank (needs buffing), scratched clutch cover (who cares?), frame tabs, rear subframe (needs buffing but is hidden from view).

The bodywork was a $350 set of E-racings and it survived just fine. My problem is that insurance don't want to repair anything, just throw it away and buy new and I wonder why insurance is so expensive?

How much is the salvage buy back typically, 30-40%?

whatever the cost it's gonna be dramatically cheaper than buying an 848.  so maybe you'll get a new bike AND a track bike out of it.  i would only fix those "needed" items and call it a day.  thank god you didn't have the stock bodywork on it....
