Anyone have any info or experience on this ducati summer financing program?  Is it a common thing done every summer?

Ducati has had low cost finance in the past.  Many manufacturers use low interest or even 0 interest to move inventory rather than rebates.

I think you'll find that right now is a very good time to buy a new bike.  When the economy takes a downturn, lenders are eager to make loans, and interest rates are going down and down right now.  Many lenders have been burned by the recent foreclosures, but vehicle and other loans are still a good bet, and many institutions are eagerly seeking this business.  Funny, but when the economy is down people tend to pull in tight and ease up on their spending/borrowing, when in reality it's a good time to buy/borrow.  Granted, you've got to have the income and sense to not borrow beyond your means, which is exactly what fueled the mortgage disasters, but if you can afford it, now is a good time to buy.  I got a great rate from a local credit union that made buying the new Tricolore irresistible.  I'm sure Ducati's in-house rate is pretty good too, but make sure it's not for only a short introductory period and then rises to some ungodly rate.
If it's got two wheels and a motor, I like it!

Yeah thats one thing i was worried  about im going to go to the dealer and see what can be done in the next week or so.  I was going to wait till next year for the 1098 but with how the market is your right it is the best time to buy.  So just doing the number crunching right now ;D

Damn, all this talk about new motorcycles in Spring.  1098 - Tri color, umm, maybe I'll see what financing is available in my area.

Not only that, but the economy is just as herd driven as the stock market.  When things start to take a down turn, people inevitably reduce their spending and start to save.  But that is ultimately the worst thing to do in a market driven economy such as ours.  Spending is the best way to bring about a turn around and get things going again.

According to the Ducati USA website, it's only on the Hypermotard, HM S, and 1098 base.  So, I guess there's no excuse not to put on the big boy pants and snag a 1098!
