Same ole DesmoDevil, in a more gentle package

I went to the Sandia Classic motorcycle races yesterday and former World Super Bike champion Doug Polen was there...wow...that man flies (duh, he won 2 wsbk championships, an ama championship)

Anyway, I was lucky enough to spend 40 minutes just shooting the shit with him after the races in the paddock.

He has a riding school (www.gopolen.com) that seems awesome and cheap $350 per day.

Anyone ever taken it?  Claims max of 9 students per class!!

I know nothing about the school.

He seems to know a bit about racing.  Grin

Course is a lot less expensive than Freddie Spencer,  Lee Parks, etc.

And, taking at Infineon, there is Cook's couch to crash on!   waytogo

Last I knew, Doug was working with these guys: http://www.aztrackday.com/v2/

I did a track school/day at Firebird early last year and Doug was there.  It appears this new program is a little more in depth.

Price isn't bad either.

It does sound promising as far as what you would get out of it. I too had the pleasure of spending time with him last year and talked to him about this school. From the way he explained it to me, it really sounded like it was well worth it. He even said he would go to your home track wherever that was but I was afraid to ask about the cost of that.

I got to walk NHIS with him two years ago...

then watch him tow some pretty fast guys around.

I'd do it if I had the opportunity.

Might want to talk to some Desmohio guys about Doug Pollen.

Last I knew they were shaking him down for a refund considering he stiffed them on their track day..........
