Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing; however, they can still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

I'm in.

Meetup.com has a group for everyone.  I'm right now looking for the "women with low self esteem" meetup group... [evil]

So far what I've found is that it's a monthly thing that in September brought in estimates of 500 italian bikes.  Once I get a meeting place and time, I'll post.

Thanks Gene, would you recommend going up the night before?  I have reservations for the day of but could change them.  Additionally, I think a lot of us would be happy if you provided a nice  [moto] route  [thumbsup].

I don't know the area well enough to offer some routes, one of the reaons I have been meaning to go is to expand on my knowledge of the roads in that area. If I go it will be an overnight, from No. VA it is 3 1/2 hours on a direct route and I have no intentions of taking a direct route. I talked to one of the MAD members who lives up that way and has been going for 30 years, he says if the weather is nice they can have thousands show up - makes you wonder how you are going to get breakfast there, he eats breakfast before he gets there when he goes. I also did a search for hotels on the Intercontinental (HI, HI Express, Staybridge) website, there are no rooms available in the immediate area and rooms are expensive in that area, looks like Harrisburg would be a better choice, 40-45 miles. Weather looks good but not sure what Nora is up to yet, if I go I will not be leading a ride, just doing my thing exploring roads, backtracking etc.. to find the best routes. - Gene

No worries, we'll report any good routes when we get back.

As for rooms, I was able to get a free night stay about 10 miles away...it's a double so I'll auction the the other bed off, bids starting at 6 pack of Guinness Draught [beer]

I haven't decided whether to go up the night before or the day of.  Depends on who all is going and what they are able to work out.

Sorry for the delay, I've been out all day riding... ;D  I live in Glen Burnie; could easily meet anywhere more convenient for others.

I plan to leave Sunday morning and stay the night, then ride back monday.  I figure it's a two hour ride on I83, but I want to see about avoiding that altogether.  If someone knows a great route, awesome..otherwise, I'm going to scan for roads tonight via google, so no promises of great roads, just a great adventure.

The event kicks off at 8 but I don't think I want to leave at 6.  I'm thinking of leaving at around 10 am but would gladly consider anything earlier.

Let me know.

I won't be able to be gone for the whole day.  I might do my riding tomorrow somewhere closer to home.

Alrighty then, last chance if you want to go or decide at last minute you're goin for it, meet me at the Starbucks in Glen burnie; Intersection of E. Ordnance and Rte 2 (near MVA) at 0800 (8 AM).  I probably won't be staying the night since I'm riding with only one other Monster, he needs to be back tomorrow night so I'm not going to leave him hanging (but I'll be sure to tell him about MAD).

Anyway, hope to see some of you...

Okay, so I rode up and back.  It was a fun ride, but we arrived too late.  If you wish to go, I would plan your trip to get you to the site early (between 8 am and 9 am).

I'm not sure what the breakfast costs, but I heard it's a little spendy; anyway, I had fun and would do it again; it took us about 3 hours on some back roads. (from Glen Burnie)

Overall, I would say that Harleys and the Japanese bikes dominated the event.  There were some ST's there and a couple triumphs a Motoguzzi and some others, but like I said, I got there late so I didn't see it all.
