Sunday ride

Bdub and myself are doing a Sunday ride that starts in Strasburg, VA. Anyone interested drop me an e-mail at lehmanmike@hotmail.com tonight or tomorrow. For those just wanting to show up and ride, we will be meeting at 10 AM at the Strasburg Emporium(located at the intersection of 11 and 55). The ride will be probably be no more than 200 miles total. That includes any lurkers as well, we are a friendly group.

Quick ride report. Bdub and myself left Strasburg about 10:30 PM, no other riders showed. Took the backroads all the way to Harrisonburg(not going to share those, ) and then had lunch at Ciro's pizza, for those that did the Skyline Drive fall foliage ride with me last year that is where we stopped for lunch. After lunch we took 33 all the way to Brandywine, WV got gas and then headed back towards Harrisonburg. The only eventful part of the ride was some jerk on a chromed up sport bike passed me in a turn and then proceeded to pass other cars in the turns using the space between the double yellow lines as his passing lane. He was so close to the pick up in front of me that he could have literally touched the truck with his hand, crap like that gives all motorcycle riders a bad rap. We then turned off of 33 and took more backroads over to Broadway and then made our way back North. I broke off and headed for home via Mount Jackson, VA. Good ride all in all.

Mike, wish I could have gone but my engine is currently being dissasembled on the bench at Donnie's due to a failed clutch side case bearing.   Before the bearing was found, the full service was done, which revealed valves badly out of spec and carbs that were nowhere near synched up.,, Also had a new fork spring kit put in, so it will be an entirely different beast when I get it back... Cant wait for the MAD track days now..
