Once, in my opinion, is too often!

I can honestly say I've only been shot at 4 times.  But I've been on the wrong side of a gun too often!

When i was about...23 i was in Oakland california at about 2:30am in the bad part of town after a show let out.  my friends and i went out to our car and it wouldnt start, we were about a 2hr drive from home. Next thing we knew a bunch of guys came out of the shadows and started chasing us with bats and 2x4s.  We ran for our lives just to wind up in a worse part of town. A car pulled up and some homey started shooting at us. That was pretty scary. We ran towards a jack in the box (the only light we could see) and ran up to the drive up window yelling for help. The guys with the bats fell back into the shadows and waited for us. The person at the drive up window shut the window and walked away. We started running again and these guys smacked the girl we were with hard with a bat, knocked her down. We grabbed her and ran dragging her. About that time the car drove up again and the guy pulled out the gun, aimed it at us and luckily a cop pulled up with his lights blaring and they drove away. The cops put us in thier car and drove us to the station.

Moral of the story:  [laugh]Dont ever break down in oakland at 2am.

I ended up in the Combat Zone in Boston once around 2AM.  I stopped at a light in Wifezilla's Saab.  Cop rolls up next to me . . . suddenly all these guys appear with bottles, crowbars, chains, etc.

I closed the sun roof and ran the red light!

The cop hit's the bubble gum machine and thats when I heard the windshield shatter.  Then all kinds of thumps and bangs and glass breaking . . .

The were busy F'n up the cop car as I left and cops were coming from every direction to back him up!

It was shortly after that they called in the National Guard to clear out the Combat Zone.

Worked great too.  It moved at least 3 blocks . . .  Tongue

Yeah Oakland is a rough town alright. I like to go to the Raiders home games and wear the opposing teams colors. Like once when they were playing da' Bears I went there dressed as a bear and I growled lots, like this GGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRrrrraaaarrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!

The Raider fans are a different breed of fans, they're not a very nice person  Embarrassed
