Talked to the doctor today and (while he rolled his eyes) said that I should hopefully be granted a clean (enough) bill of health to make it out there :) Still need to actually register and send in my money but hopefully I will be there.

I'm sure that if for some reason, you weren't able to make it, someone would buy your slot.  This event sells out very quickly and I think Cole keeps a waiting list.

That is true, but financially things are a bit tight since I've been out of work, am going back to school, AND I am moving into a new apartment :( I did just send him off an email to figure out what slots are still available though to make sure I don't miss out; I may just have to live off ramen for the next month or two  [thumbsup]

I'll be there as CrazyIvan's fenderfluff....and if he wants to rent out my services, that's up to him. I think there's a 26-cent surcharge though...right dear?

That was friggin' awesome!! Thanks to all the other CAMers and MADsters that were there for helping me shake my rookie jitters and for just making it a generally positive experience. I'm totally addicted now. I didn't even bother returning my rental suit. Battleys said I could have it for half price since I am the only person that ever rented it in the 9 months that they have had it. I'm already trying to figure out when I can go again. This is an expensive hobby though... [moto]

Woo hoo!  It was an awesome time.  Thanks to the MADsters that worked with Cornerspeed to put me out there for a couple of laps....there are actually even a couple pics floating around.  I won't miss it next spring. [moto]
Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing; however, they can still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Looks like you guys had a lot of fun, I hope I can get a slot for the spring!  I saw this photo on another site, and while I don't know this guy, one word comes to mind...OWNED!!

From what I understand, the guy borrowed a friends Desmosedici and wrecked it.  I hope he's okay because that would spoil the A$$ whoopin his friends going to hand out!!

It's also on DMF, in the NMC section.

FWIW - I also heard he didn't have insurance on it yet.   [roll]

Insurance wouldn't help anyway, would it?   I don't know of any insurance that covers bikes (or cars) on a racetrack.   Am I missing something?

some would if the event was an educational school that isn't race oriented...but they are VERY picky on their wording of it....I've heard that Progressive has the most latitude in and around that policy....

check your policies.   My State Farm covers non-timed events.   I worked with my agent to be more specific so it now says coverage ok for non-competitive events.  Lap timers on my bike ok for learning purposes.
