Around 10 years ago I started having a lot of problems with my hands and arms in general.  I am a cook by trade, and have been cooking for the last 15 years.  when I 1st noticed the problems I was also in school and playing in a band, which I am sure did nothing to help the problem.  fast foward 10 years and I am going through my 3 round of PT, wearing a big ass brace at night, and powering trough a shitload of pain every day of my life.  i feel like I am on the verge of doing some real/permanent damage.  my symptoms include, numbness, swelling, and fatigue in both my arms.... who has gone through this? What did you do? surgery?

I don't have problems with this unless I use my palm as a hammer. If I do I can't hold a pen to sign my name.

If I have an issue my chiropractor can take care of it.

My guess is that you should look I to surgery on one hand at a time.

I know a lady that did that and she's pain free 100% of the time.

I'm starting to think that way myself.

I've had it for years.

I don't have your symptoms though.

My fingers 'trigger'....meaning they lock in  place and audibly snap to a straight position.

I got used to it. :-\

i have had guys reach back and grab my crotch in an attempt to get around me. i'll either blow in their ear or ask them politely to let go of my wang.

Bun-bun

I feel for you.
I have scoleosis (sp) and about twice a year my back goes into spasms, and I'm laid up for about a week. Walk crooked, cry like a baby when I move suddenly, or have to get up to pee, can't lift anything heavy, or bend down(and I'm a carpenter!). It happened this morning on the jobsite. I've been gobbling Aleve all day. Just took a couple flexaril, and I'm hoping it'll pass by tomorrow. Luckily, after tomorrow I can stay in bed over the weekend.
(un)fortunately, I don't have carpal tunnel, but I know misery loves company, so cheer up.

I developed crapal tunnel recently (about 4 months ago).

Fortunately it's not painful anymore, I just have very little feeling in my right thumb.

I feel for you about the pain, man.  When it first developed, I'd wake up in the middle of the night with a tremendous amount of pain in my right thumb, index, and middle fingers if I slept on my back or right side.

Good luck with it.   :-\

I think I've posted this before, but I get carpal from coding.  What generally sorts me out is 4-6 B complex vitamins for 2-3 days, then normal dosage.  I prefer Carlson, but any good quality vitamin should do.
