Motorcyclist (February issue out now) wrote about the 1098R and Desmocedici with RAVE reviews.
RIder Magazine (March issue out now) wrote on the 1100 Monster and it too got some good reviews.

Damn, just what I needed, more encouragement to look further.  [moto]

MC 's front cover spead was on the 1198s. Talk about rave reviews. Front page title... "New Number 1". Says that there may be straight line faster bikes bikes ...ie. Busa, but none better in suspension. As much as I.d love to have several other bikes in my stable, that's the bike I'd give em all up for. It's the best all around yet.

This MC issue will be a nice keeper.  Lots of ducs duc/italian features in it.  You know Red,  the new multistrada is coming next year, 1098 power and all the touring goodies (I would imagine) and hopefully a prettier face.  For a practical bike that could still rip, it may be the new hotness.

Ahrr, yeppers. Busa shcmusas are what I'm sure they had in mind when mentioning that, although never stated. Not to leave out all the other far easters. They all have a cool sound if you like buzzers but nothing sings like a Duc.

Mr. Spoke, I hope you don't mind if I call you by that, or would you rather me to call you web both for Cheesy, it is so nice that you considered me in your statement. I considered the options on the Multi as well as the functionality of the STs. But now that I have riden touring bikes for the better part of the last 31 years and dearly love them, there is a time and use for a SBK. My confidence level with a SBK far outpaces my interest to tour with multi-use bikes . Besides I work all the time and never take any vacation. So most of my enjoyment is on shorter rides. Also, this year I want to do as many track days as I can. If we lived in an area that had abundant natural terrain and scenery then I might have the inclination to go multi. But for the flatland plains and ant hills we have here in Texas my personal choice of bike and style of riding I'm most interested in lends itself to the SBK.

They should have titled this month's MC issue "DUCATI - BUY OR DIE".  I've never seen so much Duc propoganda.  That being said, an excellent read  Grin .

HEY! Who's been in my garage??!! laughingdp

Peter (at Moto Liberty) used to have a 996SPS in full Bayliss livery! Would have loved to have seen that!!! Heck, he used to live in Houston and would haul the bike to AMS/Alvarado to have it worked on rather than let the Houston dealer at the time touch it. Hence the Peter/AMS connection. Grin
