Got a new Nokia 6650, I was wondering if anyone knows how to unlock these things. there is a GPS button dead smack in the middle and i wanna get rid of it since i never use it and the program i want to use to remove that button requires the phone to be unlocked. Anyone know how to do this?

I already googled it, and using those online generators I already used up 2 of the 5 tries that the phone allows before its permanently locked... no dice.

Have you thought about paying the 1.99-9.99 to buy the unlock code?

Its a paypal transaction so if they dont deliver you can get your $2 back.

>:( NO SOUP FOR YOU! Best Buy would used my phone to call the govt and make a falsefiled claim that would eventually come back to me some how. even if i did have proof that they had the phone during the call. EVIL!!! PURE EVIL!!!

Quick sidebar - how do you like the 6550? My wife wants a flip phone, and we are exploring our options...

I just got it this morning, so I cant say for sure until i play with it more, but its loaded full of features. very good build quality, though during the closed mode, the screen moves around a tiny bit, when opened its solid enough to throw at someone.
Great screen, great features. i ahve media net package right now, and the internet is awesome, but compared to my Blackberry is pretty much useless sine the screen is so small. As far as a regular phone goes, ive only had a 5 minute chat, and its good. cheap, solid, meus are kinda funky.

I dont like the GPS button and the way they organized the quick menu buttons. Thats why im trying to get it unlocked so i can tweak the buttons to do something else.

Okay, nvm i talked AT&T into giving it to me. took a while but they argued it, and the manager submitted the number to the tech department since they dont have a generator at hand. :p
