Sad thing is, I'm pretty sure you're serious!

Yep.  Just give me a tight twisty downhill road. [thumbsup]

(Sad thing is, I'm faster on my bicycle than I am on my Duc. :P)

I saw a local variation on the Harley Squid today -- it was the middle-aged Gold Wing rider wearing shorts, t-shirt, running shoes and a baseball hat.

The guy looked like he stepped out of the gym and hopped onto his 2000lb bike.   [laugh]

I like the Goldwingers who spend so much for extra doodads like a/c (yes I said a/c on a bike) that they cant hold them up, much less back them up.  So.... They buy a trike goldwing! Generally these are men in their early to mid seventies who like to wear matching 3/4 helmets with a boom mike on the side so they can talk to the "little" lady in the recliner seat behind them.

IMO,

when you're 70-a trike is fine.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

If I make it to 70, I'm probably trike bound.

The coolest trikes I think I've ever seen.  :)

Even cooler if the rear suspension was engineered so you could still lean in corners....

Trikes are big around here (we've got great moto roads all around AND keep getting rated as one of the top ten places to retire, so do the math), but none of them ever did much for me. I could see playing with one of these though...

One question -- do these have a reverse gear added?  One of the things I'd wonder with any trike is just how tough it'd be to push the thing backwards up even a tiny incline.

I have a few HD riding facebook friends. They're all complaining of sunburned arms today. I rode yesterday w/ my rev'it air jacket.

yes the HD crowd is a hypocritical bunch. they don't even like you if you're on a sportster. i bought my '73 ironhead sporty in '89 for $2800 as a project bike. it's still a WIP but i can get the front wheel off the ground with little effort and the HD guy's  kind of sit there scratching their bandanas like, "WTF is that, that looks like a sportster???"

back when i first started riding my hardley, it was just when the harley family bought back the company and came out with the evolution engine which replaced the shovelheads and suddenly none of the dealers were willing to work on the older bikes anymore. so a friend and i built my bike ourselves (still). back then i was riding with a couple guys who have had harley's all their life and who were a bit older than myself and they were pissed that they couldn't afford a new harley. the people who were the loyal harley guys that kept the company afloat during the hard times were now not able to afford them...unbelievable  [roll]

can we discuss apehangers...  ;D

Here's one for ya.

A buddy of mine bought a HD. I have a DRZ400 and a Monster S2R. He told me he would not ride with me if I brought out the DRZ.

I always thought riding is riding?
Why do roaches always die on their back?

That because the survivors flip them over to steal their sneakers and wallets.

If a 620 can go 140 shouldn't double the displacement or more get you at least 175?

[cheeky]

If my 620 multi can hit 140 shouldn't the double displacement be able to hit 280 mph?
