My country died tonight.

I'm sorry if I'm making a political post. But this is something I really can't keep inside. If any mods decide that it is inappropriate, please feel free to ask me to take it down.

I'm from Venezuela. As many of you know, there is a dictator in power, he is hellbent on destroying the country under the thin veil of a false democracy.

Tonight, through corrupted means, he won a referendum which basically gives him the right to stay in power indefinitely.

I don't know what is going to happen now, but sadly the only future I can foresee for the country which I love is civil war. All my family is there. All my friends are there, and if I had a choice, so would I.

I just want people here, which I consider my friends, to know what's going on outside their borders, it is easy to forget about the outside world when you can take things like freedom and personal safety for granted.
