Yes, as an authorized provider.  It requires a lot of up front $ for books, Anne rental, certs, etc.  Plus it would take those business away from the RC.

Instead of coming up with reasons NOT to start your own business why dont you consider it from the opposite perspective?

Whatchu gonna do with $15 per hour??  How about $65, $130, $260 for an hours work?  Depending on how many people you can train at once, those numbers arent out of the realm.

Who knows, you might have all the certification you need already or at least close....We were taught infant CPR at the hospital with plain ole dolls, nothing special.  Parenting class before our first child was born.

How much is an "Anne"  can you buy one used off ebay?

Im trying to get my wife to start a scarf and drapery business.  Shes sick of punching in, having to put up with her boss, having to work certain hours and be accountable to someone other than herself.  Its tough to take that first step.  Maybe the RC can farm business to you if they dont want to do private employer training.

I have all the certs I need.  The actual certificates that the students get after passing the class cost $, the text book costs $, etc.  I could work for my self teaching, but it seems like a PITA.  Using chapter Annies for personal business without paying a rental fee would be stealing, so that is out.

We (me) already go to private business and teach.  I drive 300 to 400 miles every month doing this.  I teach at  the chapter, private business, churches, community centers.  We go anywhere we are asked.

I do not want to duplicate what I already do.  I am looking for something to beef up my take home pay during a slow down in class demand.  My goal for Q 4 of this year is to transition into a Red Cross desk job.  40 hours a week, Monday through Friday.
