I've got Charter cable and the dvr sucks. It won't search future dates for 'motogp' or whatever, and it won't set series recordings for anything that isn't always on at the same time apparently.
To go through and do it day by day on the guide without knowing what time it airs on what channel is a pita.
Anyone know of sites other than RU that have mostly racing content? Not much luck on Torrent-finder, and no invite came to me so I guess I'll keep lookin.

with the proxy set-up and a motogp.com subscription you can watch wsbk and motogp online.  or, get a tivo?  the keyword/wishlist programming feature works great.

It's too late now, but in case somebody doesn't have Speed Channel (or even if you do have Speed and you want to see a little extra coverage):

mms://infrontsp.wmod.llnwd.net/a1386/o16/Free/WorldSBK/2009/BlockUS/20090301_SBK_PHILLIP_ISLAND_RACE1_FR.wmv

Those links didn't work for me. do you have to be in the us or something because I live in australia

when you download a torrent from RU, it's tied to your account. that's how they track your upload/download ratio.

when he posted up "his" torrent for everybody that couldn't get an invite, everybody* leeched and didn't seed, pretty much killing his ratio.

*given the size of the file and his deficit, it was over 100 people downloading on "his" torrent.

i doubt he'll make that mistake again.

as an aside, RU will only give you "extra credit" up to a share ratio of 2.5. if they don't boot him, it'll take him the better part of the racing season to get "even" again.

Dish network had a good dvr that I really miss that would search for keywords. I may have to get rid of cable as a cost savings (except internet) due to work, so while buying a tivo would be nice, it would just put me deeper in the hole  bang head

your other doesn't-cost-you-any-more-money option is stay on top of the calendar and program your current dvr week of, or however far in advance it will let you...

http://www.speedtv.com/schedule/ (beware the time zone drop-down)

if you get rid of cable altogether... find a buddy.  Wink

I see.  Thanks for clearing that up for me.  SO basically you can't untie the torrent from an account and without RU enforcing seed ratios people will just download like crazy with out sharing.  bang head

Well at least RU has the type of membership that allowed them to make the rules and still have people cool enough to keep the ratio in the right.

Well since I got my server setup all that's left is to wait patiently till all the trolls stop asking for invites, and then maybe try some sort of bribery.   Grin

Howdy guys

I've just joined this great site as I'm now a very happy Monster owner.

I also would like to get access to RU and don't have any dramas seeding files. If anyone can help me out that would be cool, if not no worries.

Cheers

Wow, this thread has really brought out a bunch of trolls. There must be a lot of people wanting to get into RU.

They're not very smart though, There have been 4 people who made accounts just to ask on this thread and they've all been denied; you'd think they'd  read before making asses out of themselves.

And that's not counting the 2 trolls that have sent me pm's regarding this that don't have any posts.

Thanks El Matador, but for your information I didn't join this forum just for an RU account so please don't question my intentions.

I recently purchased my 620ie which is learner legal here in Australia and have been looking at joining a forum where I can talk, learn and possibly buy things about my newly found passion.

Sorry for not introducing myself accordingly today and then making such an inappropriate request on my first post.  Embarrassed

I'm really glad someone of your caliber is counting and commenting on such a trivial matter. Please keep up the good work. Police

Cheers

Paul
