games from steam?

anyone bought any?

I bought 2 games from them and neither will run for some reason. both say something about a renderer not initalizing?

Did you see if there's some sort of config page you can go to first and/or tried googling the error message and the game name?

I've gotten at least 20+ games on Steam with nary a problem.

I looked around, but didn't find anything that helped in my specific situation.

I ended up emailing steam tech support, but have yet to get an answer back.


The games that you downloaded...do you have to launch them through the steam client?

sounds like maybe a video driver problem, have u tried updating them?

u can launch from the shortcut on ur desktop/start menu or from the steam client.

this happend to my friend with his counter strike download if steam doesnt get back to you within 48 hours call them.. The phone will take you about 5-10 minutes of automated voice questions but they will end up transfering you to a tech goodluck
