Dan,
I'm glad to hear that you are OK.  That is by far the most important thing.

I know that intersection well, I was there last weekend dropping a bike off in my buddy's driveway who lives about half a mile from there.

Get things straight with your body, insurance, the cops, and the van driver, but most importantly, get that bike fixed and get back on the road.  We need all the Ducatis we can muster in NoVA.

i appologize for my previous remarks and therefor have delete its remarks STATLER YOU CAN REMOVE YOUR COMMENT IF YOU WANT WITH MY QUOTE IN IT IF YOU WISH

But, its threads like this that really irk me beyond belief.  Again i did not use any profanities or obscene names but called an individual extremely "lazy".

I don't mind people doing their jobs to the best of their ability fairly and at times "doing their jobs" may be a MAJOR inconvenince to us.  That is life.

As a side note, i have personally gotten tickets and warnings from LEO.  Lucky for me each time they have ALL acted VERY professionally and responsibly and I give them the required RESPECT because they showed professionalism and respect in return.  Those are the LEO that "get it".

What made me extremely mad on this thread was the "had to write someone up" line.  No you write someone up because you believe they did something wrong, not for the "formality of it", a reason like that is annoying as all heck.

The best thing is that you are healthy and not injured, the bike is fixable and all that can easily be replaced.
