Imagination + Engineering = Imagineering

WWW
« on: December 16, 2008, 12:48:43 PM »

Looking for a few Northwest enthusiasts whose Ducati is parked for a few weeks due to weather.

I'm looking for a Ducati or two to finish prototypes/fitment of a few items.

- Sport Classic for fitment of BoomTubes (and later new kickstand design)

- 696/1100 for prototype (and later fitment) of BoomTubes and one other exhaust design
- 696/1100 for prototype (and later fitment) of new kickstand design
- And a few other 696/1100 items I won't discuss publicly

- HyperMotard for fitment of BoomTubes (and later kickstand design)

Perk for use of the Ducati for a few days -- discounted parts or a few other perks!

Contact me off-line if of interest at "marksavory@MotoCreations.com"

and then

I will let you give them to me...for free

 Shocked

I would seriously let you give them to me

You wouldn't even have to say thank you

Thanks to two enthusiasts -- a Sport Classic and a HyperMotard are headed in for fitment in late January and early February.

Still looking for a 696 and an 1100 enthusiast who might be interested?

Thus still looking about for an enthusiast who wants to work with us.

Same as the S2R1000 iterations.  Should fit.  Just want to confirm they will do so and take pictures.

As someone that lives too far away to donate his bike to this cause....  I'm bumping this so that maybe someone with a 696 in the area will donate theirs so that i can eventually get my Boomtubes!!!!!

I did a set years ago for a 748.  Given the lower fairly belly fairing on the 848, I'd create a different outlet opening scenario to integrate into the 848 hyperbike design language better (than the twin round outlets)

Only questions to be address would be:

1) how can the ECU be adjusted to correct for the possible air/fuel change?
2) does the 848 have the flapper valve in the exhaust ala the HyperMotard and 1100 series Monster?
3) remounting / shortening of the license plate bracketry
4) what tabs/brackets extend down from the tail subframe to support the exhaust?

Building the actual exhaust is the easy part to be honest.
