Removing wheel of S2R 1000

Im hoping im not crazy, but on the SSS bikes, the procedure is

remove clip...remove nut, pull on wheel, and it should slide off right?

I cant seem to get this thing to budge even with 2 people. AFAIK, the rear brake does not need to be removed since it is part of the swingarm  unit (not litterally, but you get what i mean). Theres a lot of corrosion in this area, im soaking it in WD40 right now hoping i wont need to resort to violence...

Tap the tire with a rubber mallet or a 2x4.  Like I heard once it's easier to hammer a nail in than push it in.  Tapping will usually break it loose.

Use a little moly grease when you reinstall to make life easier next time.

ha! ha had the same problem; a little corrosion or maybe; or Ducati used some loctite at the factory install ... but I found a longer breaker bar 30" and there was a definite "snap" after soaking the nuts with penitrating oil; the sprocket side is a smaller diameter an it loosened first ... good luck!

whoops i reread; (I had trouble with the nut) ... and the wheel was a little sticky on the shaft but used some light tapping on the shaft with the nut on so as not to damage the threads; with a hard then rubber malet and it popped off no problem ...good luck again.

Yes HeMan, once you remove the clip, nut and washer it should come right off.

As previously stated, take a rubber mallet to it. Do it from the right side of the bike to knock it loose.

Mine came right off...but I didn't put any sort of grease/lube on the shaft hopefully I wont have this problem next time but if I do I'll know what to do.
