Help!  Just did a valve check, and now my bike won't start at all. [bang] [bang]  The fuel pump primes, but the engine doesn't turn over, nothing.  When checking the valvles, I disconnected the battery, removed the spark plugs, and checked the valves.  Put everything back together, and now this.  Any suggestions?

This sucks but you forgot to plug something back in.  Go back through everything you undid step-by-step and recheck it all.  You will find it.  Happens to the best of us.

Or, err, something even more simple, like...putting the bike in nuetral.  Oops :-[ I kinda forgot a simple step, apparently.  Put it in nuetral, and it starts! Guess I got a little distracted after all day in the garage![thumbsup]

But they are good because it trains you to check for the "simple" things

Or, alternately, the kind of stuff where you delete the thread and pretend it never happened.

;D

Hey, at least you did your own valve check!!!  [thumbsup]

I do this kind of thing all the time, chalk it up to a learning experience, and move on!

Thanks!  Yeah, I'm chalking this one up to an educational experience, and a good reminder to check the simple things first.  These things also serve as a good reminder of why a sense of humor helps with things, mechanical or otherwise.  Besides, the more mistakes, the more I learn!
