honestly I really don't care.  I WON'T resell a non-paperwork frame that I suspect is being used north of the border.  Then again, I could probably just apply for a title....I doubt the GA DOT talks with floppy heads.

JOKING!

Guess I toss it in the attic until I forget about it.   Sometime in the distant future I'll find it again and make a track whore from it. [laugh]

I hate the fact that I feel I've indirectly contributed to some scum-bags theiving scam.  I've sold about a dozen frames since I've been into motorcycling.....never had or suspected an issue like this.

Glad to hear your joking;

yep! this sounds fishy! .... you could / should go one step further and report his name and Vin to "Transport Canada" and the Canadian "RIV" program (importing vin registrar); this is exactally what they are trying to stop you will be doing the whole bike community an favor and someone may get there stolen 999 back ... if one was ripped off others probably have too ....  or if they were trying to "wash" a title then the unsuspecting new owner should be notified through these programs also ... just say-in .... if you need the references let me know and Ill post. .... all the world is yours.

can you check to see if the paper work has been registered or transfered into the new owners name?

Maybe something hapened to the dude, such as being arrested. He might have had bigger worries than the bike. Unfortunate things can go down in a hurry. Or maybe the bike was paid for with drug money or stolen funds and he was caught before he could take the bike. Not just in the above situation, but in TAftonomos's as well

Or maybe just a coincidence. ;)
