Like ICON, I dig the udder only look. I just wish there was a way to remove some of the PINGING decibels. Is there some baffling that can be placed inside the stubbies? If anybody has any advice please inform. (I am handy with tools. (Home made pipes, home made tail chop kit.. ect)

Im on the same boat as you.

with open udder, there is not a chance i wil lget on the bike without earplugs.

There are cheap $5 baffels you can buy that are 2" in OD by JC Whitney, you could possibly make them smaller and use them..

Yes, they are around $5-8 bucks. I had some 3in long ones at one point.

Your bike looks great. How does it sound with the stubbies and the baffles? It was loud as hell when I took my cans off but I like the look without them. Any clips?  [popcorn]

corey

Thanx Damian:
Well, I made the Stubbies myself out of 304 SS pipe. I started out by boring out the inside diameter of the pipe to fit on the udder, so I was able to use the oem clamps. Then I cut them to the desired angle, used some emery cloth to clean them up and finished them off with the polishing wheel.
Next, I removed some of the unwanted pinging by using some leftover parts from my Termignoni 6" can chop. I used the perforated tubing and the packing to create my own Termi-like shorty. I feel by adding the packing to the Stubbies it reduces about 20% of unwanted noise and pinging but still sounds plenty MEAN and aggressive. As soon as I can figure how to apply sound clip I will.

In regard to baffles, you get what you pay for.  JCWhitney iterations sound horrible and are rather ineffective.  But you get what you pay for!

We do our own TIG welded handmade / custom perf'd stainless steel tubes (w/machining) with a few tweaks thrown in depending upon the sound levels desired and back pressure required.  You could probably buy 14 sets of the JC Whitney iterations for what we have in material costs / labor just to build ours.  But it's worth it and they work.

(and NO -- we don't sell baffles separately!)

Nice! You could post that write up in the tech section.   [thumbsup]  I was looking for alternatives to the Termi shorty.

That was helpful!  [bang] [laugh]

IF I had or can get ahold of an udder, I'd be more than happy to make you a set or modify a set of baffles.  Finishing up with a set of meggys in the next week, so I'll have some time.
