M696 Strange Electrical Noise

Hey guys, I have a strange one for you.

I have my baby in the living room for some mods.  I heard what I can only describe as the sound tesla coils make, like a spark for those of you that have not played with tesla coils.  It was very faint and lasted for about half a second and it happened twice, separated by about 5 min.  Here are the circumstances;

09 696 with 7400 miles
Bike was off without the key
Had been sitting for one and a half days
Sitting on carpet and a pitbull stand (hadnt moved since it was put there)

Anyone else ever encounter something like this?  Could it be just discharge from the carpet and nothing to worry about?

check smashed bugs (still alive and flapping) on the oil cooler grill

Don't know when/if your bike does, but the bikes with immobilizer warning light shut down the flashing light on the dash after 24 hours.
Maybe there's some sound coming from that

ooo i wish i could bring mine in the living room. wife would kill me. it would fill that back corner soooo nicely.
