"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Stopped by there today to see Scott and Rosa. The FJR was still there (inside that is...). What a mess. The driver of the Chrysler was hauled off by ambulance so no one there got his info other than the police. He was stunned but OK. Scott said the airbag did him the most harm, busted lip, etc. The driver of the Avalanche was not the owner and the insurance was within a day or two of expiring. Who knows if it's any good to begin with. Lots of fake insurance cards out there. Heck the numbers that are kicked around the insurance industry has between 25%-40% of all Dallas area drivers not having the state required coverage. No wonder "uninsured motorist" coverage is so high.

What is really scary about this is there could have been a dozen folks bent down checking out someones cool Ducati when the car came flying into them. I've been to many AMS sponsored affairs at the Dallas shop, race watches, demo days, new model presentations. There can be dozens of folks hanging out in front of the shop at any time talking and checking out scooters. Very lucky that no one got seriously hurt or killed. Sure, the driver of the Chrysler was equally to blame by speeding so fast in a 35mph zone but he is also lucky he didn't go flying straight through the front plate glass window and into the store.

Definitely sad about the bikes but great that everyone is still with us and safe. [thumbsup]

That is a terrible situation..
If i never see a guy sitting on a 1098 like that again it would be too soon
Favorite convo i read on this board
"PICS OR IT DIDNT HAPPEN"
"F**K U IT HAPPENED"

Suzuki Blvd M109R " Sliver " = assassinated by cager
PW 696 " Pearl " = traded in
M1100 " Loki " = Viking God of mischief ( Goddess in this case )
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in a pretty pristine body, but rather to come in sliding sideways all used up screaming F*CK YEAH WHAT A RDIE!!
