I'm hoping you can help. I'd like to put a center stand on my '99 M900. I've searched around and can only seem to find stands from ST4s and ST2s. Is it possible to fit one of these on my Monster? Any advice you could give would be great.

I'd like it for the peace of mind when parking.

Thanks!

I installed a centrestand on my 2000 M900 Dark, bought from wrecker labeled  ST2/ST4

My 'bike has low mounted Staintunes, otherwise stock. Had to get the oxy torch and bend out the foot lever to clear the left muffler

An ST2 centerstand ought to work on your Monster.  It attaches directly to the engine case and the cases are the same between the two bikes.

The only problem you might run into is that the sidestand might contact the centerstand, although I can't be sure of that.  The ST2 sidestand has a big bend in it, unlike the almost straight Monster sidestand.  But that could just be to clear the pipes.

One issue I know you'll have is that the Monster doesn't have a nice handle to help get it up on the centerstand like the ST2 has.

Rather than using a torch, I just used a big hammer to bend the foot lever to the proper position.  I think mine was touching the stock ST2 pipes as well.

Sometimes it's nice to have a centerstand.

You lose any major clearance with the centerstand on there?

I can't answer for the Monster, but I've never scraped anything on my ST2 and I regularly wear the sides of my tires out before the middle.  I did raise rear almost an inch, though, but that was for handling rather than to get more clearance.
