After my first real day riding (it was a whopping 45 degrees today in MKE, yeah!!), I don't think I'll ever go back to a Jap bike. WOW, what fun! And the looks you get! The fear in the eyes of husbands/boyfiends, the lust in the eyes of wives/girlfriends, the thumbs up from all the kids. Priceless!   And chopped stock pipes sound fan-freakin'-tastic! bacon and boobies!

i love the looks from kids too! (not in a dirty way)

yesterday took a 75m ride and stopped to chat at a stopsign on a back road, and as we talked a small girl
came out, walked around us and our bikes and just stared at us.

after a few minutes we took off and i look in my mirror to see her waving us goodbye  waytogo

i put my hand up to wave back as we turned the bend in the middle of deserted rural PA
was an awesome ride [moto]

What did you do to your pipes?  I think it's going to be a while before I can afford the pipes I want.

Yup Milwaukee.

I just bought the bike used, the previous owner seemed pretty handy and cut about 2 inches off the back of the pipes cored them a bit and put them back together. They look stock, they're a little loud, but not deafening. Throaty and just loud enough to perk the ears of those you pass. I assume the back pressure is fine, it runs and idles well, and no snaps, crackles, or pops.

If you want to hear it, I'll be tooling around the Marquette U campus tomorrow in the early AM.
