I've read a few post on here.

Sportclassic or GT1000 wheels are like hens teeth
And the roadracing wheels are even rarer and hideously expensive. all i've ever found was the hubs and they were $800.

Anyone know of any other  models stock spoked wheels that would fit a monster?.

FYI: The SC spoked wheels may not clear 4 piston front and 2 piston rear calipers.

Do tell...

The "good" news?  AlpinaAsystem tubeless wire wheels look smashing on a Monster.  They even make them for the latr models. http://www.alpinaraggi.it/naked.html. The "bad" news?  As a company, Alpina is as Italian as they come.  IMO, it's entirely staffed by 60's FIAT customer service reps.  laughingdp
I think they're on their second US distributor and IMO they each became frustrated with the lack of support, product, and timely answers coming from Lomagna.

I have looked into Alpina wheels. but dismissed them quite quickly due to the cost. They cost more than my monster did.
Theres no denying that they look awesome tho.
Also there is no UK distributor for alpina wheels. And the stockists who do have them only have the Aprillia KTM supermoto wheels.

I have spoked to a wheel builder who make wheels for choppers and Hardleys and stuff and he reckons he can "profile" the spokes on a SC wheel so they would clear the calipers.
All i need to do is give him the hub and rim.
Tnis is looking like a good option  because excel rims come in lots of different anodised colours.

I'm going to try my friend yamaha DT supermoto wheels and see how close they are.

Sport Classic wheels rare as hens teeth?!?  Hmmm...  you must not have been on the board a couple months ago.  I couldn't *give* my set away (w/aluminum hoops too) for what I paid for them...  $500US.  They're gone now, but keep looking...

Oh, and they do not bolt onto the bike either....  lots of little issues there.
