I bought my 620 a couple of years ago from a friend, and before I bought it they broke the base of the mirror off in the stock location.  Does anyone know how to get it out, or should I go to a NAPA place and get a drill bit to drill it out?  Everyone who goes to this site is amazing, thanks

Are you talking about where the mirror stem threads into the little clamp on the handlebar?

Watch out cause the right mirror has left-handed threads, so if you want to drill it out and run a tap through, you'll have to track down a left-handed tap! bang head

A photo or a better description would be helpful.

cutting a slot in whats left of the bolt so you can use a big flat bladed driver has worked for me in the past.

A dremel and a steady hand are your Friends.

pics would help alot

sounds like someone didn't KNOW it was a left-handed thread, and make the beast with two backsin snapped it off in there.
i almost did it too.
