if all goes well, we should have the old bike configurator up and running here on the DMF soon.

disclaimer: it is only set up for old school ducs (dss) and the s2r range.

Out of curiosity, what kind of color scheme are you going with?  Or is it a surprise :).  I'm gonna try and find my CS disks soon (it's been a few years) but if I can't I may be interested in some of you guru's services as well.  Problem with my paint idea is (I just realized last week) that it may be too KTMish.  I need to go look at the orange on those at the shop soon so i don't get it too close.

I'm looking at doing something with metal plating, or some polishing/flat finish, copper, nickel, etc.

I was at a powdercoating shop today and saw what 'black chrome' powder looked like as it came out of the oven on a bicycle frame.  it was shiny and beautiful.  There are a ton of powders available in candies, bass-boat metallics, textured, etc.  The painter had a lot of samples to show and I wish I had a dozen bikes to customize.
