I don't think I left the ignition on when I move my baby, but I think the battery is dead. The Battery Tender doesn't help and I tried using a battery charger, but still no signs of life. Any ideas or thoughts?

Seeing that it is still under warranty and a battery tender won't charge it, it's time to let the dealer test it and most likely replace it. All it takes it one cell to go bad (batteries hate heat & vibes both of which we get a lot of) and the thing is dust, no amount of charging will help, has to be replaced.

I'm not totally useless, I can be used as a bad example!

consider investing in an Optimate 3 (or 4 if you can find one) Batter Charger / Desulfator.
They have worked wonders for me.

Just a longshot but did you put the ignition in the locked position?  You may have gone just past that to the parking position where it turns on the tail light and a small bulb in the headlight.  It will drain the battery pretty quickly and if you don't take it off that position the trickle charger would never catch up with the drain.  You can either move it to the unlocked position or disconnect one lead and try charging again.

Thanks all for chiming in.

I (am almost certain that I) did not have the key in the locked position with the light on since I was moving things around in the garage.

I now own a Battery Tender Jr.

Could be the fuel pump relay issue, but hopefully will find out when I take the battery in.  My dealer suggested that I bring in the battery for an overnight charge.  If that doesn't do it, I press for a new battery under warranty.  That would be covered, wouldn't it?

My dealer did a battery swap.  No problem, no questions.  I wish everything was so easy.

FYI: When my battery died at about 9 months, I was told the warranty for the battery is only 6 months.    :-\

+1 on the Optimate 4.  I bought one soon after and it rejuvenated a car battery that had sat dead for some 3 years or so.  Works great.  The bike goes on it or a Battery Tender Jr. overnight if I haven't ridden in a few weeks.

Battery Tender Jr. is great too, though no "desulfating" feature.  Great customer service from Deltran (makers of Battery Tender Jr.)  The wall plug case separated on mine after a few years of use.  I sent them an email and they offered to fix it for the cost of shipping it to them, or send me a new case and screws for free.  I chose the latter and a week later it was looking brand new again!
