NORMAL? Play on Brembo disks?

I noticed that one of 320 mm Brembo front disks (Ducati OEM 492.4.024.1A) has a very slight play between the bronze mounting plate and the disk itself. The play is just in the rotational direction (no play in the axial nor radial directions). I checked the retaining rivets and they appear to be normal (no sings of fatigue life or impact damage).

As the other disk has not such play and I would like to know if such play would be considered normal or is this an indication of failure.

Kind regards, Pedro

Play in the rotational direction is an indication of a problem.

Wear. I wouldn't worry about a small amount, but keep an eye on it and shop some nice used ones off Ebay.

I want to thank Norm and ducpainter for their responses (and for the very insightful off-line conversation with ducpainter).

I took the bike to my local mechanic and he said that that amount of small play is not unusual and that it is to be viewed as normal. Just for future reference!

I had a Triumph 955 Daytona, which had basically copies of Brembo full floating discs, at about 55,000 miles, the pins that held the outer disc to the carrier were pretty wore, when you weren't on the brakes, the bike made a slight "ching-ching-ching" sound coming down the road.  I put it off for as long as I could, but eventually, I got nervous and replaced them.   No more noise.
