So I had the day off and I wanted to ride.  After much hemming and hawing, I settled on a route.  Well, google maps didn't match reality so I had to improvise a little bit.    And a picture of the route to get an idea.

I wanted to check out what's left of Route 66, a little bit of it at least.

Then I cut across 138 to 173.

I planned to take 173 to 18, but that didn't work out too well. (Eff you google maps!)

So I backtracked to 138, took that to 18, which wasn't a horrible option

I stopped off at Chapparal on the way home to try and pick up a back protector for my mesh jacket but they didn't have the one I wanted.  Cracked a beer when I got home.

Not a bad day.
My fast lap is your sighting lap.

I like solo rides like that....... whole different feel & pace...... very relaxing.
