CLP Wipes + Followup paper towel = my new bike cleaner

Pretty much what the title says. Here's how it came about:

I had a small package of CLP wipes from a MidwayUSA order where I needed to add something extra to avoid a 'handling charge' which was fine with me. I've always liked CLP, even if it doesn't smell as fun as Hoppe's #9, but so be it.

I have a dirty motorcycle. Dirty parts include chain-side of swingarm, and rear wheel, and engine case cover on clutch side, and rearsets. Note: None of these parts are pretty painted parts, but are just some time of painted or coated metal or aluminum. They were covered in grease, brake dust, chain-fling, clutch dust, etc.

I had an epiphany: If CLP cuts through carbon inside the gun so well (and I think it does work pretty well), then these wipes covered in the stuff might cut through the bike stuff faster than scrubbing with a wet cloth and some soapy-whatever. Additional thoughts: CLP is made not to harm finish on firearms of various types, so I wasn't worried about it being a "harsh chemical" (knowing that I might end up being wrong about this, but was willing to try).

Results: Cuts through stuff much faster than S-100, Honda Spray Polish/Cleaner, and I felt safer using it over industrial degreaser stuff. Had to followup with a terry cloth / paper towel because I didn't need all my parts coated in CLP as that would attract dust. Also, no CLP was put on places I am attached to while riding like the footpegs, etc.

Anybody else have "secrets"?    [coffee]

its look that you had a struggle from your motorcycle parts and you  need to create some new to make comfortable for that things..
