Throttle Meister = Good Service

I just picked up a used VFR800 that came with a throttle meister friction lock cruise control installed.  The unit attaches in place of a bar end weight and tightens down on the throttle tube to lock your throttle in place.  Unfortunately, it wasn't installed properly and didn't work.  It had been installed with locktight and I didn't want to damage it forcing it off.  Their website had a contact us section.  24 hours later I had installation instructions in my e-mail that gave me a drawing of what the unit looks like before installation and was able to remove it without damage.  10 minutes later the threads were cleaned and it was installed correctly.

I just thought I would share a story of good service from a company that I had not previously dealt with.  It looks like a pretty nice unit that should make long superslab trips much nicer.  My one concern, what to do to shut the throttle off quickly, was unfounded.  It puts just enough force on the grip to hold it in place.  Just roll the throttle off by hand like normal.  It doesn't truly lock it in place.

I like the ThrottleMeister on my Monster.  It's great for long highway trips and its weight cancels out some of the vibrations in the bars.   [thumbsup]

I had good service from them when I ordered the kit.  After a brief (~5min) conversation, we figured out which TM I needed for a Monster and I placed my order.  It was at my door in a couple of days and installation was a breeze.
