one of these would be cool...if you had a place to bolt it down

Why would you bolt down a GS? ???

:P
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Yes they have public storage but if I recall correctly, you cannot store a motorcycle in them and they are not 24/7.

I know a place I can have a spot for $80 a month and I was planning on taking her there in October if I didn't have the funds to have a shop do the mods to her that I want over the winter.  If things don't work out, I will take her there or to one of the Chicago Ducacti people who offered me space yesterday.  Then I can at least work on mods on her until I move and find a garage closer, where I live.

Just wish me luck with my landlord tomorrow and this will all be a moot point.

If I understand the picture of your back porch...there has to be supports of some kind - at least that is what I've seen in Chicago with the style of porch you have shown.  Could you use your chain and wrap it around the support and then secure it to your bike?

!!?? When did I show you my porch?

Creeepy.... :-\

How to secure the bike in the back isn't the problem.  I haven't been told if I can keep her there or not yet... seems like it's "slipped the mind".  If they say nothing this week, I am going to buy some plywood and move the bike to another spot in back that you cannot see in the through the gate in the alley.  There I can also possibly get the chain around the support but the chain isn't THAT long.

Rent.  don't own a condo.

We'll see what management says. Where it's parked right now is a pregnant dog and half for me to get in an out but its not int he way, behind a gate, under a deck with a cover on it.

Considering my neighbors like to leave their trash out on their back deck and I try to make mine nice, play my rent on time, etc.. I don't know why they won't work with me on this:

<-- thats  how I keep my deck.  Trust me-  I have the nicest one back there.  Between me and Duc, we bring this place class.
