good point...
i grew up swimming there. the water temperature is like winter.
you just deal with it.
If you drive the nicest car in the neighborhood, work in a cash business, and don't pay taxes, you're either a preacher or a drug dealer...

Have you been in the Pacific Ocean in California? Only in the HOTTEST months does the water temp creep toward high 60's. I remember 65 being about the average spring-fall temps. Winter it would dip into the 50's...

I think it's warmest in an El Nino year.

40-55 is more like it for maine...

Once again, the great lakes are living up to their name. I think the water temp is in the mid 70s right now.

i was at dewey beach in delaware last week. friday, the day before i left, we started getting decent sized waves from the sloshing of hurricane bill. i said "make the beast with two backs yea lets do this" and ran out there with my boogie board... missed one wave, missed a second wave... caught the third one... realized there was a huge rip current that sucked all the water out from under the wave... got slammed into the ground at about 20 mph with several hundred thousand gallons of water as the driving force... make the beast with two backsed up my shoulder real bad, thought i broke some ribs... i got crunched up real good.. hip is still all jacked up.
i couldnt stand up straight for literally 2 days. and this wave was about 7 feet tall... by no means "monstrous".

ocean = death.
When all the land lays in ruin... And burnination has forsaken the countryside... Only one guy will remain... My money's on...
