Finally got out today for a nice long ride on the new Daytona.  Went up to Rockwell to see the Streetfighter and Bimota Tesi demo's, but the lines for the rides were too long so I didn't sign up.  Put a nice 150 miles on today, got home, crashed out for a few hours only to come out to find my rear flat from this:

Too big to plug (I tried), and of course it's Sunday tomorrow, so no shops open to get the bike to.  Anyone in or around the city have tire changing capability to get the tire off and patch tomorrow morning so I can salvage at least some of the ride tomorrow?

Thanks!

Chad

Mnay years back, I was on the freeway and got a flat on my rear tire. Turned out it was an arrow-tip. freaked me out. Tire went down in less then 1/2 mile. Thank god it was not the front.

Damn, how did you get CSI to take those pics for you? [laugh]

The arrow head story is a little freaky. :P

Must be the season. I picked up a screw the other day and had to replace my tire.

As a side note anyone have a wheel/tire warranty package?

I pulled a big ass nail from my tire today. Ordered some new tires, an unplanned expense.

I ended up getting it patched on Sunday and got a few hundred miles of riding in with the boys.  Seems to be fine, even though it was definitely a CSI style murder weapon lodged in my tire rather than a screw or nail.  I'm going to keep a close eye on it, and will replace if it needs be.  If it were the front I'd replace it no questions asked, but not too worried about the rear if the patch goes.  It should be nicely vulcanized into the hole after Sunday's ride anyway... +1 on wheel/tire warranty package...
