I ride without gear at night.  Cuz I'm more cautious on the bike without my leathers on.  In fact, most of the time I ride buck nekkid at night.  The chill keeps me alert.  Besides, it's safer than all those guys in 18 wheelers, jacked up on meth and doing 85 mph while getting road head from a 300 lb truck stop hooker.

I have what is basically a camera strap with velcro closure on the ends. Both my Arai and Scorpion visors have holes large enough to feed the strap through and close the velcro. It has a quick release snap and is easy to tighten so it is very convenient and pretty comfortable. I just strap it around my waist and it works much like the Fieldsheer bag, but it isn't a fanny pack!

If you can still see, then why not?

I  am able wear a tinted visor because I have decent night vision.  Just because many other people are blind at night, doesn't mean I am, so don't judge my opinions or what I do  just because I may have have better night vision than you.

I too have extremely good vision, both night and day alike.

So if I can still see, then why not?

B/c even though I can still see with a tinted visor at night, I can see much better with a clear shield.

I'm not gonna do anything to hurt my chances of seeing a car getting ready to pull out in front of me b/c some asshole's busy sending a text message while behind the wheel.

Do whatever you want to, but I'm not going to.

Do you wear sunglass while you're driving your cage at night?

What a relief, I thought I was the only one, but I wear sandals to protect my feet. Whatever keeps you awake.

I have 3 visors, dark, light tint, clear.

I use light tint for cloudy days, dusk, etc.  I use it most nights too.  If in the city I can see great.
Clear for night mtn rides is a must (a lot darker in the mtns at night).
Dark for sunny days where I know I'll be home in time.  Been caught a couple times with this and I can still see, but it about the same as riding at night in a good rain storm.

I highly suggest getting a light smoke, works wonders for sun, night, etc.

It's so weird to me to carry an extra visor, but then again I've never used a tinted visor so maybe someone could chime in on which they think is better:  visor up/clear visor and quality sunglasses vs. tinted visor.  I almost never get on the bike without a pair of sunglasses, plus I adjust my visor so frequently that a smoked visor wouldn't do that well in town anyway because I usually have it cocked about half way.  Sunglasses and clear visor.  It gets dark?  Sunglasses go in the pocket.

As far as air going around sunglasses, you should get a pair with the foam surrounds, they just have to fit well.

I've ridden 80mph with my visor up with no air leakage at all, yet they're comfortable to wear all day.  Just don't let your 5 month old puppy get ahold of them  >:(

Edit: ^^^^ someone could chime in on which they think is better for SUN PROTECTION :)

That works fine unless your sunglasses have polarized lenses, then it doesn't work very well at all.

Unfortunately, my prescription sunglasses are polarized (better for driving), so they don't work well with a clear visor.

Is there an "I'm an idiot" smiley?

I must have misread.  I used to buy good glasses for when I rode my bicycle a lot, but the expensive ones have a tendency to have less material in them (lighter) and therefore break more easily.  Now I just find the cheapest pair that still fits well.

Sometimes I wear my polarized Revos with a clear visor and haven't had any problems.  What problems do you experience with them?
