If I wasn't who i was, I wouldn't be who I am !

How good does that sound (with Biaggi on an RSV4 as well)! Wherever it was held it would be frikkin.awesome. Hope it actually happens.

"And, finally, why would Yamaha want to stop this (assuming they could)? Perhaps the corporate fear that the legendary Italian could be beaten in what would unquestionably be the “Race of the Century” by a 39-year-old Australian on a twin cylinder Ducati."

No beacause they won`t make any money out of it and Ducati will just sell more bikes no matter what.

I don't know about that. Rossi has alot of pull.

I was watching the world rally championship last week on the telly and Rossi was in a car racing. It was the rally of UK.

Never say never.

he has done 1 or 2 Rallies at the end of each season for the last few years.
also tested a Ferrari twice before and came with-in 1.5 secs of F1 driver pace.
Most other drivers or riders don`t get with-in 5-10 secs of regular pace.

if yamaha and rossi lose, which, in my opinion they're likely to, yamaha will cop the blame for not entering a good enough bike. Bayliss has an incredible finishing record in superbike and he's riding the best bike in the paddock, by a large margin too. the yamaha was a good bike this last season but it took haga to win on it, corser (2 time world champ) couldn't do better than 2nd and rarely achieved that! lets not forget the new bike yamaha have and the lack of development compared to the tried and proven 1098R and even though rossi is a genius/god on a motoGP bike i can't see him doing better than 3rd.
my prediction,
1st BAYLISS
2nd HAGA
3rd ROSSI
with biaggi, fabrizio and xaus crashing out..............predictably?????

they should put them both on something different or even slightly wacky - triumph 675 maybe, how about bmw r1200gs - to make it really neutral and entertaining.

I do like the idea of keeping it neutral, but I think Bayliss needs a bike that suits him.

I don't follow the racing, but the physical differences between the two riders on the same machine would probably make it somewhat less of a contest.
