Normal idle

I find that my bike is idling a little low since I removed the canister.
Always idled around 1100 to 1200 after she's warmed up.
Now it's at 1000. Is this normal? It's a S2r800 with 8800km on the odo.

Mine idles a tad low as well. You (or the dealer) can reset the throttle position sensor(TPS) to bring the idle up if it displeases you, or is causing stalling problems.

did you seal of the intake plenums well? you could have a vacuum leak.

If you want to see if you have an air leak where you plugged the plenums spray some oil (WD-40 will be fine) around the area while the bike is running and see if the idle changes.  No change, no problem.  Sometimes, removing the canister does cause a change in idle since the canister itself is a very small vacuum leak that you are eliminating.  If you want to raise the idle turn the air bleeds out equally a 1/8 inch at a time.  This will not affect TPS.

Less messy is propane.  If you have one of those torches for soldering plumbing fixtures just turn it on, but don't light it.  Point it at any potential vacuum leak. Idle will jump up if you have a vacuum leak.

Ive got the same issue. idle at 900-950 and stalls sometimes. Only happened after removal of the canister.

Anyway.... anyone have a pic of where to do the adjustment? im a visual learner

Propane works well, in fact, that is what I would use.  Since it is highly flammable I tend not to recommend it to people who I do not know.

Good point.  However, the amount of propane coming out of a small hand torch is very small.  You would have to leave it on for hours to have any sort of explosion hazard.  Even if you trapped a fairly good size pocket under the tank or something, the worse thing it would do is go POP. YMMV......
