New Lower Seat for 696 Monster

Just Rcvd My new Lower Seat from Commonwealth Motorcycles.  I have to say I really like it.  I can pretty much flat foot my boot while seating.
It is comfortable & I think I like the red stitching.  Well it did take one month.  Customer service is very good.  When I ordered my seat, I did 2 day UPS Air.  But, when they shipped it, it was sent by ground.  They were very acomodating & credited me the whole shipping which was $20.
Also when you sign there is a discount right away.  I would recommend this place.   Pic taken by new Iphone 3GS.

Yes, the seat part is darker.  I really like it.

I just got my low seat today as well 7/8.
Ordered it from local Ducati dealer.

It did nothing for me in terms of flat footing.
I'm no more closer to the ground than with the stock seat.
I switched seats on and off about 4 times to see if I could notice a difference but I couldn't. Even while trying to move the bike around while seated.

While the seat is made thinner...it somehow doesn't translate to getting my foot closer to the ground.
The width is the same as the stock seat so perhaps it works for guys with a wider stance.

Unfortunately these special item orders are non-returnable...
So it looks like I'll need to try and find a way to sell it.

you're right. i 100% agree it doesn't lower it even a quarter of an inch. but why would you sell it anyway? it looks great! WAY better than the stock seat. that is why i purchased the seat, strictly for looks...
