I know it is not a monster question but I am sure someone around here has good info.  I already have the emissions canister removed on my monster, and while I have the 748 apart I would like to remove those too.

1. Are there any potential issues with removing the canister behind the vertical cylinder connected to the crank case breather and air box?  I should be able to replace it with a small K&N like on the monster and plug the air box.  The bottom of the canister looks like it is plugged with junk and not effective any way.

2. The canister on top of the lower coolant overflow bottle has already been disconnected from the throttle bodies and the hoses plugged.  The only connection is from the gas tank.  Can I just route the gas tank hose down past the engine and remove the canister, remove the throttle body hoses and use a metal plug on the throttle body?

Thanks for your help.

Superbike (4V) motors benefit from the intake system as installed according to Bruce Meyers. A Ducati Corse mod is an oversized airbox.

I would leave the breather box installed.

The plan for the vapor canister is fine.
