GREAT thread-tks.

Coming up on track day #2 here July 4th weekend/Jennings.

Had to swap rear prior and opted for Dunlop. Tracked with stock front, but only half day-rain damn it, and never got to run as hard for as long as hoped.

With original front STILL on, and taking Monster in for big 7500 service today in fact, and over 7500 miles obviously-seriously needing to swap front finally. HOPED to run thru rear then swap both.

Any suggestions?  Considering swapping front JUST for this track day. WAS leary of running two diff brands, but after MANY experienced racers telling me it is OK and riding on these, only concerned for the track day really.  Prolly gonna swap front just for track day, but pain in ass. Just not confident with that front ANYWAYS.

Keep hearing Michelin PP. keep hearing stay AWAY from Bridgestones. hmmmmm

Nekked Chic, What tire did you end up getting? How was the trackday #2?

I was very happy with the choice I made. I ended up getting the Pirelli Rossos. I got them for a smokin' deal at Dennis Kirk too. I like the profile and stickiness and so far they've been really good to me. I've never tried the Power Pilot and might try them next time around to see what they're like.
Ex: 09 monster 696 pearl white
Current: 05 Yamaha R6

K, so when I ran thru rear at about 5K miles, replaced it with Dunlop Roadsmart, meaning to wear it out with remaining front then swap both again for some matching nicer tires.  But, ran thru front too fast, especially with upcoming track day and got deal on a Metzler M3 and I bumped it up from a 120-60 to a 120-70 (unless I confused this, it is late lol).  Honestly, they both did DAMN NICE on a hot as hell track over both days!   My only trouble was freekin sidestand and inability to get off bike enuff to go at speeds I really wanted/needed to be doing, damn it.    Begging for help/input here to see if it IS just my ergos or even possibility for this Monster set up this way. Sure some tweeks like rear-sets for starters would help also.
YOU keep ME posted please???
