Howdy.....  I'm starting the search for a good custom painter (one who doesnt just do iron crosses and orange flames) to do some tasteful Ducati-worthy paint work on my 696 tank skins... tail-cover.... front guard...  Anybody know where I might find somebody to do this work here in Australia (in Melbourne would be even better) ??

Thanks in advance Ladies and Gentlemen  waytogo

ungeheuer - I recently had some work done by a painter, and cannot recommend him highly enough. He only seems to do custom Duc and Harley work. Matty also had his wheels painted by the same guy. The buisness name is Reflex painting, his name is Jay, number is 0417264269. Only trouble is he is in Dapto, just South of Wollongong in NSW.

cheers, ducsport

mate.... I can beat that....how about Mentone? near mordialloc

his name is Brad and the place is called bike craft, he's the importer for Rizoma on the side but his main game is full custom work...he's done basic work for me...re clear coating my carbon sidepanels on the m1000 and a brilliant job he did too...he did a 999 once with a scene of demons and angels fighting....the angels were topless women of course and let me just say...best nipples on a ducati EVER.

but in all seriousness, the bloke is good, honest, serious and helpfull.

tell him Rohan sent you....and he'll say "that guys a pain in the ass, I hope you're not a weirdo too"

Never saw the work, but Nipples and Ducati in the same sentence, gotta be on a winner there!

actually said it to him....within a few minutes of meeting him...."ow....you did that 999 with the angels and demons...that was good work...they were some great nipples!" to which he responded "yeah, I took my time and got them right!".

I couldn't believe how good the side panels came up....and in his own estimate he did a 80% job...to get them to 100% he can do it...but it would be 4 hours of work instead of 1....and 80% of his standard is as good as shift-tech and twice as good as some stock pieces or termi carbon....

Thanks for the help guys, if I ever make up my mind..... I'll post pics.
