trying to install high mounts

just got a 07 695 and went to install high mount termis and found something in my. can someone identify what it is and where i can relocate it to get my high mounts on.

That's a charcoal canister for emissions - it's to catch gas from the tank vents.  Unless you live in Cali, it can be removed (see the tutorials section for details).

First mod I've ever done was ridding of the charcoal canister.  Just like you, I only noticed it when I was trying to install high mount exhaust (Ti Quat-D).

My dealer removed mine before I took delivery. I didn't even know it existed

thanks guys i guess if i knew what it was i could have found those removal directions with my initial search. she came out beuatifuly thanks to those instructions and the pipes sound awsome and the bike is running supper clean.
