Does anyone know off hand what the minimum clutch disk thickness spec is for an S4? I did a few searches an had no results.

Thickness does vary.

If the plates have friction material on them, it's the stack height that's important.

The last ones I put a vernier on were about  .0128 - .0135 or a little fatter.

I've put together a clutch pack of used plates by looking for plates of were of about that thickness or better it I could find em - old red Barnett's.  Worked fine for a while.

Thanks much. I'm trying to figure out where things are at.

I haven't purchased a service manual yet, but it looks like it's about time.
