Chet Baker - But Not For Me

Back when I was but a weeee lad (the 3rd grade), I signed up to learn to play a musical instrument (it was mostly to get out of math class  8) ). My buddy, Joey and I both signed up. I was handed a clarinet, and the lucky make the beast with two backser Joey was handed a trumpet. My mom had always played a lot of jazz, big band, swing and bosa nova in the house when we were growing up (in between the hotwheel track beatings). I had always thought Chet was cool, and was bummed thinking Joey was gonna get to be the cool kid, and I was gonna end up be'n Benny Goodman  [laugh]

Chet died a f'ed up drug addict, but in his younger days he was the shit 8)
Gaspar, Melchior and Balthasar kicked me out of the band..... they said I didnt fit the image they were trying to project.

So I went solo.  -Me

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.
