I hate it when you're looking forward to getting the leg over and giving it a good go....and within minutes you know that there is something off kilter with the bike/rider connection and it just isn't happening (or more like 'I'm not happening')....so you give it a bit of effort and within 5 minutes you have to admit that you're 'riding like crap' and have to start thinking 'get the hell off the street - cause I'm not doing this right'.

It's the complete opposite of those brilliant days where you're in harmony with the machine and graceful and it all just gels together...every corner is like the great part in a song. I'm experienced enough to be able to identify these occasional dark days....but not experienced enough to pull my riding to it's proper level though...I end up cutting my ride short and think "give it another go tomorrow'. Figure riding around when you're not on form in a major city or difficult/technical in any way is asking to come off.

frickin disappointing though!

Hey Spider I'm with you on those "off" days.....

Have em on the MTB as well (as I'm sure you do as well)...... Just can't into the groove, the flowing single track isn't flowing, in that technical section I always ride I'm walking, the up hills feel vertical, legs are heavy and just won't function......  Embarrassed  Cry

When this happens I slow down, take it easy and make my way home at a leisurely pace (and have a nice hot Chia Latte... coffee ), knowing that next time when it all "goes off" I'm going to love it (applies to the Duke rides as well)......

Need the average times to appreciate the awesome times.....  Grin  Shocked  Evil

All good........  [moto]  waytogo

Understand completely "Oh One Of The Long Leg" ! Grin

Last Saturdays ride through the twisties with some of the "Bike Me" crew and it hits at just how shitful at maintaining your skills commuting is. Shocked

Totally uncoordinated, timing up the shit, oh dear I am riding like an old arthritic mole with dementia!! Hope nobody is watching/noticing. Bloody terrible!! Time for a track session methinks. waytogo  [moto]  Evil
