i have a 09 1100 and i am putting on the termi slip ons. my local ducati dealer says that you dont have to dyno tune the ecu.they just download the settings from ducati into the ecu and i am set. i have heard different. any input would be appreciated.

redial

they have already made maps that they can load up and it will be close. engineers can estimate things

but dyno tune is the best way, because you are mapping according to real life, not approximations and averages etc. (each bike is slightly different)

dyno tune may be much costlier as well. are you altering the intake as well?

the kit comes with a free flow air cleaner as well but the dealer says it is taken into consideration from ducati.

Since you can't make any changes to the DP Seimens ECU for your 1100 without the Ducati DDS, unless your dealer, or a local DDS equiped shop has the updated connections and software for the new ECU, as well as a Dyno, it doesn't matter anyway.
